Part I: Introduction
This week I very carefully replayed the 4 CBS Showtime Oliver Stone interviews of Vladimir Putin – filmed intermittently from July 2015 to February 2017. During the previous year (2016), the movie “Snowden” (Edward Snowden) was created by this unusual left-wing but fair writer-director.
[It is an oddity to me that Edward Snowden left America only weeks after the Chechen Islamic Terrorist April 2013 bombing of Boston’s Patriots’ Day Marathon. I am perplexed why neither in the movie “Snowden” nor the 4 documentaries is there the slightest hint of that Chechen terrorist attack. I think its omission is critically important to Snowden’s departure but never mentioned.]
If it were not for those 4 documentaries, I would have little, if any, knowledge of the actual Russia-Ukraine history after 9/11. I probably would be a True Believer of the Dogmatically simplistic Political Theater ‘Morality Play’ of Ukraine = noble and good; Putin and Russia = evil and bad.
I have written quite a lot on this website of this ‘Bait and Switch’ WWSOG-BOG Big Lie that Russia and Putin are the EXISTENTIAL THREAT (enemy) of Western Civilization and Islamic Terrorism is low-intensity warfare and, therefore, tolerable. BULL$HIT!!
I have a few historical points to emphasize and a suggestion for both Oliver Stone and Vladimir Putin.
Part II: Important Facts
Fact 1: September 11, 2001 where Spanish language television showed the ‘jumpers’ at the WTC. Not in America!
Fact 2: Russia and Putin could not have been more cooperative in enabling the American takeover in Osama bin Laden’s Afghanistan. This cooperation continued for years – silently.
Fact 3: (In the 4th documentary episode) Two massive Islamic Terrorist atrocity campaigns of mass-murder of Russia and Russian Federation civilians by the thousands were caused by Chechen Islamic Terrorists. (The West never expressed sympathy publicly that I ever encountered.)
Fact 4: In Dagostan, a civilized Muslim jurisdiction, hundreds were massacred by the same Chechen Islamic Terrorists. Same silence from the ‘West.’ The first massive massacre occurred in 2002 and the Dagostan one in 2004. If our Legacy Media planted the memory of those 2 atrocities, I have no memory of it.
Fact 5: The 2014 EU-CIA violent coup d’etat in Ukraine never reached my consciousness until I played these 4 documentaries.
Fact 6: Way back in the 1980s, I remember reading a news magazine lengthy picture article glorifying several Mujahadeen (Muslim Brotherhood) groups, funded and promoted by the CIA and Western Intelligence forces.
[Psychologically and politically, it may well be impossible for the CIA and Western Intelligence to finally admit that their near-creation and massive amplification of Muslim Brotherhood Terrorism. Until that happens, the real existential threat to Western Civilization will never be confronted and ended.]
Fact 7: At the end of the Cold War, the Russian government of Putin paid off all ‘Sovereign’ debts of no-longer Soviet Territories – including the eternally corrupt Nazi-like Ukrainian government that I would not trust as far as I could spit into a strong wind.
Fact 8: In the US decade-long LBJ-promoted Viet Nam War, that Richard Nixon downsized and ended bringing our POWs home (including future US Senators Jeremiah Denton and John McCain) while Legacy Media with political theater made at least 2 generations of Americans sincerely believe that it was Nixon’s war. In Viet Nam, the Cold War was on and 58,000 American troops died with between 3 and 6 times as many wounded or injured.
Fact 9: BY CONTRAST, in the 1979-1989 Soviet (last decade of the Cold War) war in Afghanistan, 15,000 Soviet troops were killed and 53,000 were wounded – about ¼ of America’s disaster in Viet Nam. (During WWII, 20,000,000 Soviet citizens perished.)
Fact 10: In 2007, a phony Propaganda film (“Charlie Wilson’s War”) persuaded almost all of us to believe that the Muslim Brotherhood (Dan Rather of CBS glorified) ‘broke’ the USSR – not the reality of the huge Reagan military build-up that actually bankrupted them. Futile attempts by the Gorbachev government with Perestroika and Glasnost naturally failed to continue the Soviet empire.
Part III: Suggestion
I suggest that both Oliver Stone and Vladimir Putin read this wonderful book (“The Secret World of American Communism”) that is one of the several books that educated me as listed on the bottom of the “About the Book” page (in the penultimate position) of this website.
I think it will slightly improve their knowledge of the history of the USSR subversion of the USA.
