Saudi Arabia and “Arabian Nights” Fantasies Updated

S. T. Levin News & Notes 0 0

  I.  History

Arguably the most famous literature of Civilized Medieval Islam was “Arabian Nights” wherein a nightly entertaining fantasy kept the storyteller alive for just one more day.  Fantasies about flying carpets and such made for very entertaining stories.

 II.  My Contemporary Fantasies

So Saudi Arabia wants to build a $9 million mosque in Catholic Cuba.  Maybe Pope Leo could beg for permission to build a $9 million church in Saudi Arabia where churches existed for many centuries before Islam (and modern Saudi Arabia) disallowed them.

Maybe Bartholemew of Istanbul could build a new Saint Sofia (to replace the Muslim Brotherhood Erdogan’s complete and total conversion to a mosque the world’s once largest church in Constantinople) in a tiny little corner of Holy Saudi Arabia near the border with the UAE where Christians and Jews are fully welcome.

Maybe Saudi Arabia could (25 years too late) finally pay compensation for their subsidized citizens 75% or more (in Legacy Media vernacular) ‘mostly peaceful protestors and demonstrators’ in airplanes who massacred thousands of people on September  11, 2001.  [Since Saudi Arabia stole the 85-90% of ARAMCO after they (the Hard-Left Islamic Alliance) successfully got Nixon out of office in the 1970s, would it not be Just for 75% of ARAMCO be placed in a world-wide philanthropy to actually promote religious tolerance and compensate victims of all forms of religious terrorism – not just the 98% of it committed by Muslims.]

Maybe the UniParty Bush Family could finally tell the Truth about secretly flying the Saudi Ruling Class home during the ‘no-fly’ period (for everyone else) days after 9/11.

Maybe in the spirit of Peace in America, POTUS 47 could make a ‘deal’ with POTUS 46 to perform a rerun of what should be a pariah monarchy in Saudi Arabia that is infinitely more barbaric than the medieval Abbasid Caliphate where the famous literature “Arabian Nights” was so popular 8 centuries ago.

III.  A Pathetic Joke

If churches are not tolerated in Saudi Arabia, how about a synagogue?  They existed in the Arabian Peninsula even before the churches which existed also before the coming of the religion of Islam which POTUS 44 never tires of haranguing Americans with his biggest lie:  “Islam is the religion of Peace.”
