I. History
During the Reagan years, when I first developed a political awareness just a few years before I was 40, my memory of what knowledge I began to acquire about the Arab world left me with a certain impression of Oman. Oman was located in the northeast corner of the Arabian Peninsula and was then governed by the most pro-Western (monarchical) government east of the Maghreb with the sole exception of Anwar Sadat’s Egypt. (Unfortunately, the Muslim Brotherhood murdered Anwar Sadat in the early 1980s and, obviously, Egypt changed thereafter.)
I also learned back then that there was a large Shia population in a typical Sunni society. Yet I never got the impression that there had been any Omani sympathy for the IRG that took over Iran in 1979 by coup d’etat and subsequently purging of the entire original Popular Front which included Communists as well.
The Iranian regime in the 1980s purged (by murdering) everyone including the English-speaking business-suit-wearing spokesman Sadegh Ghotbzadeh.
II. October 2026
On Friday, October 3, a little Breitbart story informed me of an IRG agent working in the US Energy Department, who was arrested by the FBI, returning from the ‘Middle East.’
The part of the story that struck me like a lightning bolt was that, for over 40 years, I have simply assumed that Oman remained a very pro-Western country in spite of its large Shia population and its remarkably close proximity to the IRG terrorist proxy in Yemen.
I fully understood the three Muslim Brotherhood Islamic countries (Turkey, Qatar and Pakistan) that have never stopped interceding with the necessary termination of the IRG Terror State with one fake (delaying tactic) ‘Peace’ proposal after another, but Oman was a ‘loose end’ in the rational analysis with its astonishing cooperation with the IRG.
Apparently, our traitor caught by the FBI flew to Oman where he simply crossed the border into Houthi territory in Yemen before returning home. The implications of a land border between IRG proxy Yemen and Oman are obviously far more profound than one American traitor on a single trip.
Iranian access to Yemen is not just by air and sea – but very likely by land also; perhaps even including IRG supervisors and large quantities of weapons.
III. The Mysterious Rupert Murdoch News Empire
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) rushed to publish the Omani disclaimer that Oman disallowed the co-pilot of the UAE-to-Israel near-disaster plane from flying for Oman. The WSJ never seemed to be professional enough as ethical journalists to simply ask had they informed the UAE.
Fox News later asked the question and received no reply. The gullible American audience will be left with the impression of the Wall Street Journal stooging for the now questionable government of Oman.
And so false impressions are continually created by the morally depraved sociopathic Legacy Media including the formerly conservative WSJ.
