A Hypothetical end to the WWSOG-BOG could happen this way, but it would take 2-3 generations to parallel the internal collapse of the Soviet Union, finally, in the 1989-1993 end of the Cold War.

Historical Analogue:

The internal faith in Marxism began to wane starting in the 1970s.  In the 1970s, the Soviet Union, owners of the richest farmland in Europe (as Herodotus revealed 25 centuries ago when the grain ships came down through the Hellespont during the Persian Invasion of Greece in 480 BCE), had to buy massive amounts of foreign grain to feed its population.  Marxist collectivized agriculture failed.

Later in the 1970s, the children of the Ruling Class had access to Xerox-like copying machines in schools and offices.  Ridiculing the stupidity of Marxist economic and political control, these privileged children (some with American blue jeans and with the right to occasional foreign travel) passed around satires of the failure of their government and system.  Being personally privileged members of the Social Oligarchy, the Government tolerated their privately expressed dissent since no organization developed to overthrow the moronic ‘philosophically-rooted faithful beliefs that inform and motivate society.’  These photocopied satires were called SAMIZDATS.

By the 1980s, working class Soviet serfs had a universally repeated joke to ‘privately’ express their frustration.  It went like this: “They call it Scientific Socialism.  How could it be SCIENTIFIC when they never even tested it on rats?”

Maybe in 50-75 years, the personally privileged children of the third generation Ruling Class will safely communicate to each other satirical equivalents, in technologically advanced ways, of the SAMIZDATS of the 1970s.

And maybe ten years after that, the WWSOG-BOG will be ridiculed by humble working class people by saying the “GREEN NEW WORLD to save the delicate ecosystem of the planet Earth is not really SCIENTIFIC.  They never tested it on rats!”

Maybe by then, we will have personal Individual LIBERTY and SOCIAL EQUALITY in the next century.
