PART I: Public Opinion?
Some months ago, in an essay, I wondered out loud how truly popular the EU-CIA inspired Proxy War in Ukraine really was in Ukraine in particular, and in the EU in general. (Obviously Biden was for it as a cover story for the massive Biden Incorporated Corruption Industry Scandal starting in Ukraine and also a substitute for the humiliating memory of the Bug-Out from Afghanistan six months earlier.)
Since February 2022 when the Russian invasion began, I had never encountered any such Polling Data anywhere. However, in the last two weeks or so, I found such information twice. My daily read of Breitbart News informed me that barely over 20% today and over 70% back in 2022 showed a partial picture of support. Apparently the Gallup Poll people released a much more complete account of such Ukrainian data. Look it up for yourself on Gallup.com.
Four data points were shown on a graph – with about 10% undecided. The two choices were ‘pro’ (fight on) and ‘no’ (negotiate an end).

Relevant Fact I – Ethnic Russian enclaves in the East were not polled in 2023, 2024, and 2025. (Ethnic Russian Crimea was apparently never polled.)
Relevant Fact II – In 2024, when Putin was reelected in Russia, President-for-Life Zelinsky claimed that martial law justified his cancellation of the Ukrainian presidential elections. (Unlike President Lincoln who did not use martial law in 1862 and 1864 as an excuse to cancel elections.) I have not encountered the FACT of the cancelled Ukraine election since it’s brief appearance in the ‘News’ in early 2024. Apparently such a FACT is not worthy of reminding the readers of the EVIL SCUMBAG PRESS since!
PART II: History – You Reap What You Sow
The EVIL SCUMBAG PRESS never reminds its readers that in 2014, when a pro-Russian Ukrainian President was reelected, the EU-CIA (led by Victoria Nuland) created a neo-Nazi violent coup d’etat. Neo-Nazi snipers murdered police and innocent bystanders. The pro-Russian president ordered his police to not fire back. He fled to Crimea which began the Russian takeover of Crimea with an election that the EU-CIA insisted without proof was illegitimate.
Starting in early 2014, the Russo-phobic Ukrainian government bombed the eastern ethnic Russian enclaves regularly. This was done without any publicity. On July 17, 2014, Ukrainian air traffic control directed a commercial airplane with over 200 people aboard, flying from the Low Countries to East Asia, directly over those ethnic Russian enclaves that they had been bombing. Those ethnic Russians, with a Russian anti-aircraft missile, shot it down. At the time, I never knew that the Ukrainian government had been bombing their own ethnic Russian citizens. Months late I found out. Russia was not only blamed at the time for mass murder without justification, but curiously, weeks ago, some EU institution brought it up again. Why has no one ever asked publicly why Ukrainian air traffic control did not direct that plane safely over the Black Sea?
When President Trump took office in 2017, unlike President Obama, he supplied Ukraine (with an installed anti-Russian president three years earlier) with defensive weapons. There was no military activity reported in Ukraine during Trump’s first term.
The Ukrainian billionaire oligarch who became rich by ‘legally’ stealing Soviet-era media resources hired a comedian named Zelinsky for a very entertaining situation comedy about crazy Ukrainian politics. (This comedian’s original act involved playing the piano with his penis!) In 2019, this comedian was overwhelmingly elected president with a new party and a platform of reconciliation with Russia. No one realized at the time, including President Trump, that it was a hoax. Persecution of ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine never stopped from 2014 onward – without any publicity in the EVIL SCUMBAG PRESS.
After the most humiliating military disaster in American history, the Afghanistan Bug-Out, the media’s closed-door coverup keeping out all information about Biden corruption opened up a crack. When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Biden offered President Zelinsky a way out, not all that different from the Afghan government which, without Biden’s assistance, fled to Uzbekistan. One way or another, corrupt President Biden had a Ukraine media story behind which he could hide his accumulated and illegitimate wealth.
I wondered at the time why Zelinsky did not simply flee – but, with false bravado, publicly declared “I do not need a ride!’ As time went by, it became obvious.
[For crooked politicians and bureaucrats (who never hear a shot fired in anger), war is doubly profitable. First, the sale of weapons (paid for by money ‘lent’ by western governments never to be repaid) invariably comes with large ‘kickbacks.’ Secondly, (paid for with money ‘lent’ by western governments never to be repaid) post-war reconstruction contracts also generate large ‘kickbacks.’ To a crooked politician or bureaucrat, nothing is more enriching than war. ‘Kickbacks’ are always paid in cash – not credit.]
Within two months of the Russian invasion, both Erdogan, the Tyrant of Turkey, and Naftali Bennet, the then Prime Minister of Israel, each negotiated an end to the war by transferring ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine back to their Russian ancestral homeland. For some undescribed reason then UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and President Biden somehow would not allow it. When this war is over, that pretty much will be the final agreement and anyone who thinks for himself will not be surprised.
Earlier this week, I found a reference from a Turkish newspaper (AYDINLIK) stating: “published bank accounts of companies in the UAE to which Zelinsky’s circle transfers $50 million monthly…Such companies are linked to Andrey Gnyren, the alleged manager of funds obtained through corruption.”
Turkey is (though owned and operated by Muslim Brotherhood Tyrant Erdogan) a NATO country, supporting Ukraine and a large seller of military equipment, especially drones, produced by a company owned by Erdogan’s son-in-law.
For crooked politicians and bureaucrats, war is the easiest path to great personal wealth.
PART III: Conscription, Manpower and Fatalities
In the history of warfare in Europe, beginning in the early 1600s (when personal firearms became extant), the young Swedish King Gustavus Adolphus, in intervening in the 30-Years War, brought a Swedish army of conscripted soldiers into the Protestant side. (The Swedish conscription law was called indelningsverket.) Conscription in the 1700s became common in eastern Europe. They still had serfdom in eastern Europe, therefore, instead of conscripting farmers as in Sweden, Prussia built a great army by conscripting serfs, commanded by an upperclass German junker oligarchy. (The underclass serfs were Slavic.) By the end of the 1700s, with the overthrow of the old regime by the French Revolution, conscription came to France and Napolean’s great victories were won by conscript soldiers mostly – although volunteers were always present everywhere.
The UK was famous for a domineering navy but a small army. Seaside communities could have their free citizens dragooned to fill out the roster of sailing ships that had lost men at sea. It became the standard in the English speaking world for merchant ships. Until Richard Henry Dana, Jr had been forcibly impressed into the crew of a merchant ship, such things often happened in New England where American merchant ships flourished. Dana was a Harvard graduate who had been effectively kidnapped while drunk. After his return two years later, he wrote the book ”Two Years Before the Mast.” Because of the publicity, the US government outlawed the practice. (His book, as is the case with ”From Here to Eternity” by James Jones and ”Crime and Punishment” by Fyodor Dostoevshy, has been made into a movie from the exciting first half only. All three books are worth reading in their entirety – but Crime and Punishment, arguably the greatest modern novel about human nature and human society, really must be read in its entirety or you will never get the point.)
A primary motivation for the War of 1812 was the British naval practice of forcibly seizing American merchant seamen on the high seas to fill out the roster of a British naval ship that lost sailors at sea.
In Ukraine, from the time the war began, anyone under the age of 27 was exempt from the draft. (Last year, with some political resistance, the age was lowered to 25.) I have never heard, in the history of warfare, of 50-year olds – let alone 60+ year olds – conscripted into an army during wartime. (In ancient Greece, only volunteer 50-year olds ever went to war.)
I can only think of one possible explanation for the total irrationality of young Ukrainian men being exempt from such a war as has been fought in Ukraine. Strange though it may sound, it is as if only the young indoctrinated in ‘education’ will constitute the voting base of the New Ukraine. If you are old enough to have a living memory of Communist bureaucracy (or be raised from childhood by parents who are old enough), then eliminating you would make the Ukrainian voter base perfectly submissive to the WWSOG-BOG – which runs putatively sovereign governments of putatively free citizens by ‘Expert and Authority’ bureaucratically imposed so-called ‘Laws’ with criminal penalties for the no longer democratic people who might object even in social media posts.
Just this week, I encountered a reliable military factual source who claims that his sources tell him 1.8 million Ukrainian soldiers have died in battle.
I have never encountered information about high-ranking Ukrainian officers, by name, who died in battle in the Officer Corps supposedly leading the Ukrainian conscripted soldiers. (A significant number of Russian generals have died in this war.)
One or two years ago in one of his (obviously fraudulent) broadcast addresses to the Ukrainian public, Zelinsky claimed that only about 40,000 soldiers died in battle.
I could swear that I remember reading, during the Elon Musk DOGE campaign, that two public relations firms were being funded by the Biden Administration to manage Ukraine ‘war news.’ That helps to explain why several years of AP stories reproduced in the UK have been impossible to take seriously.
Do you know the name of American free-lance social media journalist Gonzalo Lira? Of course you don’t. Do you know that one to two years ago, he was imprisoned and killed in a Ukrainian prison without benefit of an English- or Spanish-speaking lawyer? Of course you don’t.
Do you know that no one in western governments or the EVIL SCUMBAG PRESS ever flies into Kiev? They all fly into Poland and take land transportation to Kiev. It seems to me that every Celebrity A$$hole floods western media (including conservative talk radio) with the eternal morality play rhetoric that Ukraine is 100% innocent and good while Russia and Putin are 100% predatory and evil.
It is my speculation that Gonzalo Lira was the last independent ‘reporter without borders’ who wandered around Ukraine telling the Truth. It is my concomitant speculation that every aforementioned pro-Ukrainian Celebrity A$$hole has been on a corrupt Ukrainian government supervised ‘Guided Tour’ from the time they land in Poland. If you have knowledge of history, you might actually recall that USSR tyrant Josef Stalin created a ‘Potemkin Village’ to which he took foreign news media and such on ‘Guided Tours’ to prove Russian Kulaks (independent farmers) were not being exterminated in Ukraine and other farming communities. Stalin got many foreigners to believe the collectivization of agriculture was a smashing success. New York Times Pulitzer Prize winning Foreign Bureau Chief in Moscow, Walter Duranty, won that prize for affirming Stalin’s Big Lie without even travelling to the ‘Potemkin Village.’ When he was not ‘typing’ his lies, he was chronically drunk.
In conquered Czechoslovakia, Adolph Hitler ran a single concentration camp with privileged inmates who were not worked to death. Annually, the anti-Semitic International Red Cross would make a visit to affirm that Hitler was not mistreating prisoners. Though the inmates were not brutalized, before the inspection new blankets and such were distributed and then taken back after the phony inspection. I am quite certain that the guards were German – perhaps actual soldiers rather than the WaffenSS murderers in all the other concentration camps.
You probably don’t remember that, further to the east where only WaffenSS ran the concentration camps and death camps, many such WaffenSS guards were Ukrainian volunteers. Many such WaffenSS Ukrainian war criminals were saved by the UK and sent to Canada.
After June 22, 1941 when Hitler invaded the USSR south of Poland and east of Poland, Jews were massacred – often with the help of local volunteers. In the Kiev area, a minimum of 500,000 or even 600,000 Jews were so massacred with their bodies dumped into the graves that they were forced to dig themselves. There are ancient Jewish cemeteries in Ukraine, dating back long before 20th century that the Zelinsky government has defiled and sold to real estate developers for condominiums. I have yet to hear a single Ukrainian government official apologize to Israel and the rest of World Jewry for any of their atrocities – past and present.
Within the last two weeks, I have encountered a story of a civilized Lithuanian politician who apologized for Lithuanian WaffenSS volunteer participants in the extermination of over 200,000 Lithuanian Jews during that 1941 German invasion of the USSR.
