In reference to the NYC Mayoralty Election in two weeks, I make the following plea: In reference to the prior essay on this website, September 9, 2025: “NYC Mayor Curtis Sliwa???”
Not too many years from now, unless Curtis Sliwa is elected Mayor, NYC will further bifurcate its population between Common People who get exploited and permanently ‘screwed’ and the eternally ‘connected’ privileged and corrupt Ruling Class and their college-educated professional-class brown-noses.
Neighborhoods (especially in the Outer Boroughs) will all turn into dangerous subsidized sub-standard ‘low-income housing’ and real estate developer high-rise upper-middle class privileged phony inhabited ‘housing.’ Andrew (‘Killer’) Cuomo has already completely reassured the ‘Real Estate Moguls’ – and the other racist anti-Semite crook candidate will be as bribable as any other corrupt Professional Politician. (Every Professional Politician is a Professional Politician because he will always be available to lie. Their ‘word’ is eternally for sale.)
Gaming the Accounting Rule Finance System is what the preponderance of Real Estate Developers do. They can spend many years hiding the overspending of their incompetence. None of them are ‘in a hurry’ because of the irrational Accounting Rules deferring the deficit spending becoming obvious for years.
If anyone should understand this, it ought to be DJT. I have spent 50 years walking around Manhattan watching the construction of housing. In the last 30 years or more, it has noticeably become slower and slower.
[My mother lived in the Lincoln Towers middle class development one block north of Lincoln Center for the last 30 years of her life – until the end of the 1990s. Back in the earlier 1990s, my wife and I, when visiting her, would look out her 18th floor living room window and see construction of a humongous development to the west and south proceeding with great haste. It was a Trump construction project with three giant cranes at work simultaneously. I have never seen more than one such crane at work in 50 years. They are extraordinarily expensive to lease. The average contemporary ‘developer’ is far more knowledgeable about ‘gaming’ the Accounting Rules’ than actual efficient and quality construction.
[‘Gaming’ the Rules will vastly increase under Mayor Mamdani or Mayor ‘Killer’ Cuomo. And also, shoddy construction no longer takes decades to appear. Take a look at 432 Park Avenue, a 10-year old catastrophe in the making.]
[Anyone who owns a private house in outer boroughs especially will be harassed by regulating bureaucratic a$$holes from the NYC Buildings Department. Too bad the schmucks never noticed 432 Park Avenue in the last ten years.]
