Two Opposite Hypothetical Types of ‘Journalism’
Part I: Pre-Sullivan Rule Standard
Over the course of one or two days (and without emotion) a journalism story answers six questions about a past NEWS EVENT; Who? What? When? Where? How? and Why?
[The first four are simple and factual – the last two are ‘interpretable’ based on identifiable Sources and Methods and the real world of HUMAN NATURE (as Rush Limbaugh used to analytically say) and not the fake world of ACADEMIA. Common Sense should prevail over Academic drivel.]
Part II: Post-Sullivan Rule
The story is to be repeated many, many days and WITH EMOTION; IDEALISTICALLY by assigning the implied designation of Good Guy vs. Bad Guy and an implied CLAIRVOYANCE in having certain knowledge of FUTURE NEWS EVENTS to come.
Bad Guys like POTUS 47 never merely say anything, they always ‘CLAIM,’ or ‘ALLEGE.’
Good Guys like Ukraine, Iran, HAMAS, etc. ‘WARN’ (they never ‘THREATEN’).
