Part I: History
In the 1980s, I became interested in politics for the first time, became ‘Conservative’ and read copiously. Back in the 1960s, when in college, the topic seemed distant from my life – but Conservative thought was socially held in such low-esteem that it was only exposed to me through ridicule. William F. Buckley and the “National Review” were the butt end of most of the ridicule.
In the 1980s, however, I began reading a host of Conservative publications only one of which was Buckley’s. I especially enjoyed the wit and information in the “American Spectator” printed on gigantic paper that didn’t even fit in my mailbox and also, when I was looking for really serious material each and every month, I bought a copy of “Commentary” on the newsstand – a monthly publication edited by Norman Podhoretz and subsidized by the American Jewish Committee. In the front of “Commentary,” they listed maybe ten names behind the philanthropy. One of those names was Lawrence Tisch.
Lawrence Tisch (and his brother Preston Robert Tisch) were as famous as financial investors as Warren Buffet who evolved into a ‘cash cow’ sucker for Left-Wing fundraising in his old age. When CBS was sliding into bankruptcy in the 1980s, Lawrence Tisch bailed them out and then sold back the stock position for a modest profit.
The Tisch Family must have been quite wealthy well before the 1960s because I learned from financial publications that, after the insane 1948 anti-trust division of the DOJ forced the break-up of the seven major highly-competitive movie companies (that owned both theaters and production companies), the biggest of those seven companies was Loews Inc. They owned MGM and Loews Theaters and were even one of the Dow Jones 30 ‘industrial’ companies.
The Tisch Family investors bought Loews Theaters and, over the course of many years, realized enormous profits from the Real Estate values therein. I cannot even remember when the Loews Hotels were created.
In late 2019, between Christmas and New Year 2020, I must have contracted COVID. I was coughing up blood and needed to go to a hospital. I went to the NYU Langone on First Avenue and entered the Emergency Room passing under a sign that referred to a Lawrence Tisch endowment.
In a recent essay about our screwed-up medical system, I mentioned that the really good private hospitals like NYU Langone are continually subsidized by multiple billion-dollar donations from rich billionaire investors like Ken Langone, Lawrence Tisch and Carl Icahn, among many others. They usually get a little plaque somewhere. Ken Langone was so generous that he even got the hospital’s name changed. Unbeknownst to the professional public relations bullshit world, in a prior era, all around the country, Frank Sinatra gave many millions of dollars in bequests with a little plaque of acknowledgement declaring something like ‘This wing was donated by Frank Sinatra.’ We used to be a country where the super-rich were generous philanthropists for the general good. Now we are a country where EVIL HL-MBA hate organizations extract billions to destroy Civilization from within with ‘Political Action.’ Steve Jobs made a fortune, died prematurely, and his widow gives mega-millions so Celebrity A$$holes (CA) will kiss her a$$ as a great hero for the ‘Social Justice.’
Part II: The First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
In 1957, in my first few months of junior high school, the Eisenhower Administration, in enforcing the one-tier Social Equality court-mandated desegregation of the Little Rock, AK public schools, used federal troops to achieve that goal. The ‘sanctuary state’ Dixiecrat Governor Orval Faubus and lesser ‘resistance movement’ followers were forcibly overcome even though they did nothing more aggressive than block doorways. In those days, we still had a Social Equality constitutional First Amendment that no one dared publicly challenge.
There was no such thing as ‘Mostly Peaceful Protestors and Demonstrators.’ Thanks to decades of Hard-Left internal subversion – now teamed up with the Muslim Brotherhood – any one more than 20 years younger than my 80-years generally thinks that what I write is some crazy Right-Wing Extremist Hate Speech.
Part III: The Potential Future
Last night at Park East Synagogue on East 67th Street, the HL-MBA ran a ‘test’ to see how far they could expand their subversive power to destroy Civilization here in America. Apparently, with the approval of Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch – a presumed descendent of the Tisch Family – they succeeded gloriously in their subversive push.
The great anti-HL-MBA potential reaction to defend Civilization HYPOTHESIS follows.
My wish here, were it to be fulfilled, is for any and all Tisch Family inherited-wealth millionaires to form and fund an NGO, hire their own ‘mostly peaceful protestors and demonstrators’ and surround as many mosques as they can afford with the identical same Two-Tier Judiciary Approved loud and intimidating behavior.
If there is another way to restore the actual First Amendment, I cannot think of it.
