Part I: Behavioral Science
Before the last 35 to 50 years of ever encroaching Bureaucratic Occupation Governmental takeover of private life in formerly Constitutionally Limited Governments of Western Civilization, the word SCIENCE meant Actual Science not political distortions unchallengeable because Fake Science by credentialed phonies made its pronouncements accepted without the constant testing and proof necessary. Real SCIENCE is universally true – not a popularity contest by the ‘credentialed’ as it is today. Petitions for media attention are fraudulent political activities.
We live in an irrational world where Economics, Psychology, Sociology and Political Science are all unreliable politicized fields. Today the term ‘Behavioral Science’ is widely employed by Politicians and Bureaucrats to impose their self-serving Bullshit on the feckless Common People of today.
Today these morons sometimes use the term ‘Behavioral Science’ for any and all of the above fields and anything and everything that involves private human life.
It seems strange today that in the 19th and early 20th Centuries there really was a scientific field called ‘Behaviorism’ (or Behavioral Science). The two most famous scientists were Ivan Petrovich Pavlov (1849-1936) and Burrhus Frederic (B. F.) Skinner (1904-1990), They were Real Scientists.
Pavlov studied what he originally called Conditional Reflex (Conditioned Reflex) in dogs as follows.
He attached two test tubes to the sides of the mouth of his dogs and, before feeding them, he would ring a bell (or BLOW A WHISTLE) to signal that the food would follow. After repeating the process an adequate number of times, the dogs were all ‘educated’ to expect the food because they salivated in expectation of eating. This is the positive use of the Conditioned Reflex. It operates psychologically, even in lower animals, through the physiology and emotions.
The negative side of the Conditioned Reflex was studied by B. F. Skinner using pigeons – a less ‘intelligent’ animal than the dog. Skinner’s experiments illustrate the fact that, in nature, once a Conditioned Reflex is ‘taught,’ the ‘educated’ animal may be incapable of ever breaking the ‘habit.’
Skinner provided his pigeons with a little mechanism by which the bird’s pecking of that trigger mechanism immediately produced food. The process repeated until the real ‘test’ which had the food no longer being dispensed. Once adequately ‘educated,’ the subject NEVER stopped pecking the trigger mechanism. NEVER!
The Conditioned Reflex operating physiologically through the emotions is far more wide-spread in human life than intuitively believed.
Once upon a time, many decades ago, in a college Psychology class, the students following the lead of the professor went around the campus telling every female wearing red clothing how beautiful she was. (If Marilyn Monroe wore black, the students were forbidden to react positively.) it did not take many days before the wearing of red clothing became unnaturally wide-spread.
The students conspired to extend the experiment as follows. When the professor moved closer to the windows, the class showed far less interest and attention. However, when the lecturer wandered closer to the door, their interest progressively turned to palpable fascination. By the time the lecturer was half-way out the door, the conspiracy turned into a verbal confirmation of the whole Hypothesis and the professor himself was alleged to be surprised at his own ‘gullibility.’
Part II: Andrew Cuomo and the Nursing Home Massacre
On May 29, 2020, on this website, in an essay entitled “Dates That Will Live In Infamy???”, I wrote an extensive essay on the then Governor Cuomo’s federally illegal handling of the COVID Pandemic by sending the extremely contagious disease into unprepared and unpreparable Nursing Homes from Hospitals. I hope the reader takes the trouble to read the essay – so that I will not repeat myself.
First a point of clarification. When the CCP first sent COVID to America, a west coast city had about two dozen deaths very rapidly – all but one or two were in a Nursing Home. The most vulnerable concentration of humanity was in Nursing Homes.
Florida Governor DeSantis became famous to Conservative Republicans like me by protecting such concentrations of vulnerable Americans.
Several Democrat Governors, like Andrew Cuomo, in violation of federal laws and regulations, took the opposite approach. Cuomo became irrationally famous by daily ‘Press Conferences’ glorifying himself with the full cooperation of the EVIL SCUMBAG PRESS. He won an Emmy Award for his phony theatrical performances. (He even got his staff to extend the Glorification Hoax by compiling a ‘book’ in his name that paid millions of dollars.)
My essay back in 2020 omitted one very important fact that I had been aware of in my unconscious mind that never made it into my conscious mind at that time. Intuitively, we all assume that people in Nursing Homes are there as their last domicile before they eventually die – whether in a week or in twenty years.
That is only one of two components of Nursing Home populations. Nursing Homes also serve temporary inhabitants in recovery from injury, non-infectious diseases or even surgery. I knew that in 2020, but I forgot that when publishing my essay. In every one of the news blurbs that I encountered, the temporary inhabitants were NEVER mentioned by the EVIL SCUMBAG PRESS, so I forgot.
If the Pandemic had occurred in the 1950s, real investigations by a competitive free press would have quickly discovered it and the numbers of deaths would be accurately portrayed as part of history in each component part of the population. However, in the early 1960s, the Conservative Journal American (of the Hearst Syndicate), the then Conservative powerful tabloid Daily News and the centrist Republican Herald Tribune would have been all over the Cuomo Scandal like ‘stink on a skunk.’
Under the stress of Free Press Competition, even the all-powerful New York Times would have also reported the Truth. [And since the 1950s, the whole world’s ‘Journalism’ business, broadcast and print, always start their day ‘picking up’ the News Agenda for the day from the Holy New York Times (and also the Washington Post).]
Today, Andrew ‘Killer’ Cuomo is about to be ‘installed’ as Mayor of New York City.
So much for Truth and Justice in America.
