Back in the 1950s and 1960s, when I was still in school, I repeatedly heard from teachers that it was impossible to immigrate to Australia with two exceptions.  If you came from an English-speaking country, you were probably welcomed as long as you were not demonstrably ‘undesirable.’

The other exception was fascinatingly, logically practical.  Certain ‘skilled trades’ necessary for modern life were in supply deficit.  Tailors and seamstresses had been so critically necessary; some of my teachers said there was a 17,000 person shortage.  My wife’s enormous extended Neapolitan family included a pair of her father’s cousins who were too late to come to America so they gained entrance to Australia.  The husband was a tailor and his wife was a seamstress.  Naturally they learned English, had children and their descendants are still there.  They all became ‘Aussies.’

(Unlike Canada and the UK where war-crime trial evading Ukrainian WaffenSS murderers escaped Justice, they were never also sent to Australia as far as I know.)

After the Viet Nam War Disaster (Military Industrial Complex promoted), floods of Southeast Asian ‘Boat People’ desperately fleeing Communism headed out to sea.  Before such people could reach Australian territorial waters, the Aussie navy kept them away from the cherished Australian Homeland.  How many drowned or were eaten by sharks?  No UNRWA or other corrupt UN (and grossly overpaid) bureaucracy ever kept ‘score’ let alone publicized the tragedy.  There were millions of such ‘disposable’ REFUGEES!  (They should have been precious Arabs.)

Starting not very long after October 7, 2023, undeterred Islamic mobs in Australia committed acts of violent Anti-Semitism against Australian Jewish Synagogues, businesses and common citizens in Sydney and other cities.

Anti-Communist Southeast Asians were kept out but Islamic migrants somehow flooded Australia.

Today I wonder could all of their ancestors have been humble tailors and seamstresses?  (Obviously, a sarcastic joke.)

PS.  The HARD-LEFT – MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD ALLIANCE (HL-MBA) has probably been around for generations – albeit in secret. Does it not simply ‘explain’ the peculiarity of today’s Australia (and so much more of what passes for ‘Western Civilization’).
